Frequently Asked

Before you reach out

Can you write grants on commission?

No. Writing grants on commission goes against the industry's best practices (Grant Professionals Association's Code of Conduct) and is against IRS OMB Super-Circular policies. And honestly, we're creating products for you with long-term impact — that's worth investing in directly.

Can you write grants pro bono?

No. Our grant writing services are highly specialized and take significant time to do well.

Can you guarantee funding?

Never. That's out of our control — funder priorities shift, funds become limited, or applications target specific organizations. Foundations often don't award the first three applications from a new nonprofit because relationship-building takes time. A grant application isn't just a document submission; it's the start of a relationship, and those sometimes take time to result in funding.

What's the return on investment?

A grant proposal is a product, so you'll absolutely get a return on your investment — even if the grant isn't initially awarded. If it is awarded, you get funding secured and a capacity boost. If it isn't, you still walk away with a program implementation blueprint, a solid budget, and a projected impact model you can repurpose for any future funding effort.

Who do you typically work with?

Everyone from grassroots nonprofits to national initiatives — along with government agencies and for-profit organizations running mission-aligned work. If you're serving your community, we can help you do it stronger.

How does Intellectual Confidentiality work?

We don't share your data and keep all your nonprofit's information confidential. The only exception: we may ask if we can list your organization on our website or re-post your grant award announcement on social media — always with your permission.
